I think this should be moved to the Help With Scripts forum or the Questions about Scratch forum as they fit better there.

This question isn't for the ATs, but just to not leave you without an answer.

Maybe just a black line slowly going down the screen. Then every time it hits the edge, just bounce back to the top and continue again. Simple enough right?

But I need more than one scanline and I don't want to keep making separate sprites.

Check out the Scratch Wiki on cloning and no, this topic still isn't a great fit for ATs.

If you are not familiar with cloning then I think you should take the time to read that one page wiki article before jumping into the Scratch editor. In short, cloning allows a sprite to create multiple independent copies of itself while your project is running. The cloning blocks can be found under the Control category in the editor:

Can you please just show me the coding to make moving scanlines please? (More than ONE moving using cloning) It isn't that hard to show how to make the code for moving scanlines (plural).

Do you need something like this where the white lines constantly jump a bit up and down in union?
