rings in the scratch costume editor is sooo hard to make first you need to make town transparent circles with out lines then you need to make another circle that's colored and the same shape as the outer circle and then you need to erase the middle witch is vary time consuming so why cant scratch just make a tool or and addition to the circle for a ring that you can color. please make this a thing it would save me a lot of time

Simple way to make a ring:
1. Make a circle.
2. Put in center.
3. Set your eraser size to around the size you want the hole to be.
4. Click in the center of the screen.
Then you'll have a fully editable vector ring!

There's also making a circle, and making the fill colour transparent, but then it's not fully editable that way.

Even more simple way to make a ring:
Make a circle
Make the outline as thick as you want the ring to be
Make the fill transparent
Now you have an editable ring! I don't understand how it's not editable.

I don’t support this; again,, this goes into the argument that everything should be made easy.

Because it adds unneeded features that have moderately easy workarounds, which might end up confusing scratchers rather than helping them.

The OP doesn't realize it's that easy to make a ring.
1. Make a circle
2. Make the fill part transparent.
3. Change the thickness of the outer line to whatever.
(Optional) 4. Center the ring.

You can draw on/around it? If you've already made the ring but you want to change the color:
You can use the bucket:

OR even easier, select the ring and change the outline:


But if the OP meant like a ring sprite of some sort (a detailed ring) then just go on google and download a picture of a ring (remember to give credit).

Rings are already extremely simple to make as shown by the examples above. I doubt they would make a new sprite for something as simple as a centerless circle.
