No, first you need to pay for the devoloper account, and next, apple doesn't want that type of apps.

He did make it and it is a standalone application compiled with Adobe AIR. I think Android requires the AIR runtime to be installed to use it.
So you mean he programmed it from the bottom up or used source code? And is correct credit given? Looks quite interesting, however my phone's screen is so tiny it would be unfair to try it.
He compiled it from the source code which is available on GitHub. I'm not sure about credit though.

Possibly in android but not in ios, apple doesn't want that type of apps, read previous post of the thread for more info

Edit: Ok, played with it for a little bit. Here are the limitations, for people who want to install

Can't zoom in, so it makes everything pretty small
Paint editor doesn't function
The library of sprites doesn't work either
Anything that has to do with a webcam won't work

I am running my Nexus 7 in ART mode, so that may contribute to a problem.
Other than that, it runs alot more smoothly than I thought it would.

Also, somebody else has already put the Scratch 2 editor in the Google Play Store. App has been removed from the Play Store

On Remix OS (Desktop operating system that runs android) the paint editor works. Maybe you can attach a bluetooth mouse to your phone/tablet to get paint editor to work

We've had the "will Apple let [Scratch 3/Pyonkee/etc.] come to the App Store?" discussion at least a million times.

Scratch 3.0 is being developed for computers as well as tablets and phones. Just so you know.

I've tried using the tablet Scratch and I think it's a brilliant start, seriously!

What about the mouse-click though - the ability to ‘delete’ something or ‘recreate’ it? It's a vital function for this and many other purposes.

The app may not look very good on higher-res Android devices. This may be able to be solved easily, or it may require parts of Scratch to be rewritten, I'm not sure.

Both apps are a little bit buggy, but it'll hopefully let you at least get some concepts started. For an example, I don't believe saving and loading projects work on either device. Still experimenting on other Android and iOS devices though…

For those of you who have a jailbroken iOS device, I'll hopefully upload the iPA to Cydia so you can more easily install the app directly on your device. As for Android, if I can get permission from the Scratch team, I'll upload it to the app store (I already have a developer license). Though, it is open source so permission may not be needed…

Until I can find someone with a developer license, the ipa will remained un-signed and only install-able on a jailbroken device with AppSync installed.

So, I've been jerking around with an .apk editor, and got an icon for the app.
It's not a big contribution to the app, and it is not available in multiple sizes, but atleast, there is it now.

iOS 10 does not have a public jailbreak (yet). Any program claiming to jailbreak iOS 10 is a SCAM.
