I don't really mind that the designs were unrealistic, because the show is supposed to be fantastic, but some of the humans were really weird-looking.
Commercially, the show was ingenious. It was about dogs, cars, rescues, parties, dumb jokes, and everything that appeals to young children. All the characters were perfect for going on stickers or a backpack. Critically, the show was ridiculous. I am not sure why I am looking for critical esteem in PAW PATROL, but other kid's shows have done it. But there's only so much you can milk out of an idea before it runs completely dry.

Anyone else think Bluey is basically the new Peppa Pig only a million times better?

I read an interview with the creator, and he mentioned how the show was commercial genius. But I think, after the novelty wore off, it needed more or it wouldn't have made money. I guess that's why they made a movie (which I haven't seen and don't plan to).

This show is a childish disgrace, even for a preschooler show. The only good message it sends to young children is “get help when you need it” WARNING: This is a rant. There will be some roasting, but not a lot. If you like this show, you may not want to read this past here. But go ahead. I'm not your parent.

First, theme song is annoyingly catchy, which is aimed at attracting young children in and filling their brain with “Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol!” The song was designed to draw in young kiddos, but somehow to also make the parents and older kids cover their ears. With it's overly repetitive lyrics, my brain will fall out of my head and flush itself down the toilet if I hear it. If you want to watch this show, I recommend bringing earplugs, noise cancelling headphones and a pillow to scream into. One more thing, IT. WILL. BE. STUCK. IN. YOUR. HEAD. FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

Second, the plot is just plain stupid. I bet the writers of this show are stressing of how stupid the plot has to be for the target audience, which is literally 4-8 year olds! Notice the 8 year old, 8 year old kids can not watch this! I saw a parent website, and over half the replies for “is (age) to old to play with and watch paw patrol?” and all the answers they their children outgrew it at age 5! That is how stupid the plot is! Now back to the real rant. The plots usually are hyperfixated on the mayor's pet chicken, Chickaletta. The mayor constantly freaks out, and makes the poor hen do uncomfortable things. The chicken runs and hides to escape the h*ll that is Adventure Bay. When I say h*ll, I mean it. There are 8-month-old puppies driving unrealistically large police cars, a psycho trying to take over the world with kittens, and a 10 year old boy who is rich, has no canon parents and owns an entire dog HQ in charge of it all. The plots also are can be sort off like: “(insert random trivial object) fell off my boat into one inch deep water! HELP ME OR I WILL FRICKING DIE!!!! Ok we will be right there in 1 second. (spends half an hour simply getting to the garage) HELP MEEEEE! Ok. (spends hour making up stupid plan and another hour getting object out of inch deep water) YAY YOU ARE THE BEST EVER HEROES!!! (mayor gives huge trophy for small thing) YAY WOOHOO EEE!!!! (insert annoying end-of-episode catchphrase here)” Or “(not)Mayor Stupid's kitties are taking the pet shampoo so they can get care because Mayor Stupid doesn't know * about animal care! HELP!!! Ok. (spends hour getting ready) Ok we're here. (easily takes shampoo, but spends hour making plan) YAY!! (mayor gives unrealistically large dog bone for small deed) YAY YAY WOOHOO!!! (insert annoying end-of-episode-catchphrase here)” That is the only types of plot. I hate them.

They wear heavy gear to bed, which is most likely uncomfortable. They are never seen blinking, and their eye only point forward, so to look around they must move their heads. If one of these characters with their large, dead eyes looked directly at the camera, I would die of a shock-induced heart attack. Yes, they are very creepy if you think about it.

Fouth, there is no character development. The characters never change, if they do, it is only for that episode. This makes the show not only annoying, but also somewhat boring.



Well, here I am with the paw patrol toys my brother gave me and i hate it.

I do not appreciate the way they portray cats as rude and selfish. Cats are gentle and shy in reality. Some may be rude, but only if poorly treated at some point.

You are comparing a show that's made for 6 year olds to shows that are aimed at 13 year old

Okay, Curious George was one of the best. I learned so much from that show. (The animation was pretty, too, I really admire the style!) You're indeed correct about it's commercial ingenious. Young kids these days want stuff that makes them seem cool, and PAW Patrol is just that cool thing in younger years. It almost seems like the whole reason they made it was to make money. Sort of like how Spongebob turned, going from a dedicated show with a dedicated audience to being a full-on cash cow full of weird episodes, terrible plots and an audience full of little kids that goes out of it's way to go against Stephen's hopeful plans for the show including the fact that the show was intended to canonically end with the first movie in 2004 and have no spin-offs, derailing the original story. PAW Patrol is very similar, but instead of going slowly down the cash cow path, it started on the cash cow path. *sigh* I'm going out of control here…
Apologies. As I said, you made a good point. It's too hard for things like PAW Patrol not to sell!

I got clickbaited and watched the entire video. I like how matpat makes the thumbnail disturbing like that.

I remember when i was 7 or 8 i saw someone at school with a paw patrol lunch bag or something and proceeded to make fun of him (Nicely). Well actually i'm just exaggerating, someone else just called rubble a fat dog or something i don't know. Also at the time I was self conscious about how I watched pbs kids shows like wild kratts for some reason.

If I recall correctly I think i watched yo gabba gabba when i was like 4. The characters look familiar. And wow wow wubbsy as well.

I never watched hole in the wall however I used to play a lot of the hole in the wall roblox game.

I'm gonna be brief on this but I despise cocomelon with a burning passon it's not even a passion cocomelon makes my blood boil it's like they dont' even know how to make song si have a baby brother so my parents just put that on tv whenever they're not watching and it's on for hours and hours i have to listen to that cacophony that can't evne be called music i can't believe it i swear they always use like the same structure for every of their song they always just like sing and then they have like a little measure long break every now and then to put like sound effects or stock baby sound effects and then they do this like in every song i swear and why do they always use the same tempo for each song i swear they're doing that and sometimes they modulate the key to like a fifth of the original key but they always do it the same way i swear their original songs are so bad and i have to listen to it and i'm not even near the tv i'm like all the way upstairs behind a closed door and i still faintly hear it and that 1 db is enough to make me go mad (hyperbolically) like when i hear a cocomelon song i know it's a cocomelon song and that's not in a good way well they're not playing cocomelon anymore thankfully but now they keep playing this one show ive never heard about i think its called booba or something i dunno why they would call the protagonist booba what kind of name is that and why do they play that nobody even watches the tv they just waste electricity anyway the protagonist looks pretty ugly in my opinion eyes on the top of the head don't look very appealing and also they keep playing the same episodes so i just hear the same music and it gets annoying except when it plays that one classical music i don't know what it's called but i heard it in the mobile game the blockheads i like that song.
