Camp Pinelake: my stuff

I read Horrible Histories: Frightful First World War. To be completely honest, this book is much better to read now. I think that this is because I have a better understanding of world history. The jokes are still funny, the illustrations are still nice to look at as a visual resource, and even the quiz at the back is still fun. I enjoyed reading this book because I find World Wars interesting to read about. There are so many perspectives to see, and this book covers so many! One interesting perspective was an English soldier in the trenches. It had a very detailed description of what life was like in the trenches and how they felt. It's also good that they didn't just make it a British perspective only book, and how the experiences of German soldiers and people are given an equal say.
As well as being more interested now, it is now really noticeable how much work the author has put into this book. The research must have taken months, and maintaining the will to actually write a full book is amazing to me. Personally, I have a great idea for a book, plan it all out and then just leave it. Anyway, this book will always be an amazing read no matter how old or young you are.

Hi!
Soon, I have a competition, and I can't decide between these two songs.
Bulletproof - La Roux
If You're Over Me - Years & Years

Please vote here. I will be singing the song, not playing on an instrument.
