a few questions about reporting
1. I've found that selecting “Other” when reporting a project used to give you a text box which lets you explain why you think the project breaks the guidelines. but now it shows a different set of options to choose from, including some that are intended to deter trolls(“I don't like this project”,“This project does not work”,“This Project could be improved on”,“This project is too hard”) all these take you to a message explaining constructive criticism, but you also have “Something Else” where you can type anything that doesn't fit into any of the other options, can't the trolls just use that?
2.“I'm worried about the safety of the creator of this project”, I'm not 100% sure how a project can indicate that the Scratcher is in danger, can anyone explain?
3. What happens if you use “Something Else” to report a project, even though the reason can be easily described by one of the categories(Using “Something Else” to report a project with swearing)?
I had a fourth question, but I forgot it.

1. Yes, the ST will ignore.
2. You won't know unless they publicly state it.
3. Nothing, why would you?

1. Already answered by post 2
2. If a scratcher has given their private information such as their face reveal, address, phone number, etc, you should report the project for this.
3. The report will still go through, but you should probably still use one of the options if possible to make it easier on the ST.

a few questions about reporting
When you select one of the “troll deterring” options, Scratch gives a message explaining why that isn't a valid reason to report a project and encouraging constructive feedback instead. Here's an image from the wiki:

When you use Something else for a report which fits in one of the other categories, it makes it harder for the Scratch Team to categorize the report. For example, when they are really busy, it's possible the ST looks at certain report types first since they are more immediately dangerous (pure speculation). If you use the something else option, they can't do that automatically.

My main concern with the “Something Else” option is that the trolls might be able to use that instead

Well, they could, but the Scratch Team will send alerts for misusing the report button.
