[Incubator RC.2.0 is AVAILABLE FOR TESTING] Itinerary: Scratch Game Jams & More (itinerary.eu.org)

Can you add a way to “follow” a game jam? It will ask for notifications and then once it starts it will notify you.

Comment on my profile whether or not my above comment was useful.

I sent a pull request with Irish. Please check to see if i missed anything, because i probably did. (I have checked myself, but i might have skipped some stuff. Also some words (like featured) aren't translated because i cant think of any word that can replace it.)

Edit: Some words are also different in different parts of ireland. I'm using the one spoken in munster. It doesn't vary much, mainly just pronunciation.
Thank you – I don't think you've missed anything! I am going to merge your pull request now. Also, would you be willing to continue translating Itinerary into Irish in the future (the list you've just translated is not complete – I'm still adding strings from all over the website)?
Yes, i'm fine with that.
Great! I will make a post in this forum each time I add new strings to translate. Your translation is now live in production.

Yes; I believe someone already asked for this. I'm looking into Firebase to see how I could use it to send push notifications. Or were you thinking of some other type of notification system?

I think firebase sounds fine!

You could just get it to ping your API every few minutes and return the notifications. I don't see a use for Firebase here. Or a /notifications page like the one on Scratch.

Here are some of my followers!

Thank you everyone!

Wondering how I made this auto update every day? I used a script that runs on my Raspberry Pi every few hours. If you would like the code, just let me know!

I think they mean they are already using firebase and want to get the service they are already using to send push notifications

Sign on the M18 Motorway warning that horses, horse-drawn vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles are forbidden.

Road signs in the Republic of Ireland do not differ greatly from those used elsewhere in Europe – with the notable exception that hazard or warning signs follow the “New World” style of a yellow diamond. The symbols used on these warning signs do, nevertheless, resemble much more closely those used (on red-bordered white or yellow triangles) in the rest of Europe than many of those seen in the United States.

Typical road signs in rural areas of the Republic of Ireland. Here, a fingerpost with old road number and Bord Fáilte logo. Signpost located in Rathangan, Co. Kildare.

Regulatory signs (relating to limits and prohibitions) differ very little from those used in the rest of Europe.

The system of directional signs is based upon, and is very similar to, that employed in the United Kingdom, but is bilingual everywhere except in the Gaeltacht, where only the Irish language is used on signs.

In Ireland, the highest category of road is a motorway (mótarbhealach, plural: mótarbhealaí), indicated by the prefix M followed by a one- or two-digit number (the number of the national route of which each motorway forms a part). The motorway network consists entirely of motorway-grade dual carriageways and is largely focused upon Dublin. There are also several three-lane motorways, while Ireland's busiest road, the M50, incorporates four-lane, five-lane, and six-lane stretches.

I don't think there is firebase since https://github.com/Looky1173/Itinerary-Server/blob/master/index.js doesn't seem to mention it…

I'm using Vercel to host my website as I am not really familiar with firebase and it is a Google product…

Not quite; only push notifications (and NOT local notifications) can be delivered while the page is not open. Thus I need to have a push notification server. I've checked out Firebase and it is a pain to integrate it into a Nuxt.js project so I'm actually considering using `web-push` with `node-schedule` and just adding a new API point to my backend to handle push notification subscriptions.

I am testing some new changes to the background of the website (credit: @AnAlgorithm). Do you like them (be sure to try both light and dark modes). Here is the temporary URL to access the test page: https://itinerary-qftjci2je-looky1173.vercel.app/about

Its a little hard to see at first, also maybe add more to the image? This is just my opinion.

Maybe there could be a toggle to turn it off?

I was viewing it on mobile, on desktop is pretty easy to see, and looks nice.

Wow, I've just converted all the `.png` and `.jpg` images on Itinerary to `.avif` and now the home page is more than 1mb lighter. AVIF is an amazing image format, and is supported by all major browsers. There's a converter here that works offline, using WebAssembly.

Also, there is this great website called Website Carbon Calculator that shows you how much CO2 is released when people visit your site.

Vercel is powered by Microsoft (they are already carbon neutral) and AWS (promised to be carbon neutral by 2025). So after 2025 Vercel should be carbon neutral as well!
