Why don't I always get messages about new forum posts?

Sometimes I don't get a message when there are new posts in discussions I've followed, even when they've shown up before. This has happened a few times recently.

I’m like Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Grange Hill, BBC Ghosts, Murder Most Unladylike and some other stuff. I also like reading, writing and listening to music.

Generation 5: the first time you see this copy and paste it on top of your sig in the scratch forums and increase generation by 1. Social experiment.

It's like that since I joined scratch, I can't really tell if it's a bug or not

Well maybe scratch just made it like that cause to prevent forum posts spams

I've had the same issue. It could probably be because of server lag. However, you can go here to check your followed topics. It's more reliable than your messages, so you should keep the link saved.

this has always happened for me and i’ve had two previous accounts, one of which had 1000+ posts and i followed a lot of topics that didn’t always notify me. as rayli1123 said, it’s probably because of server lag.
