Microsoft Store version can't open sb3 files on double click

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Edge 97.0.1072.69, No Flash versions detected

Scratch is not listed. (It's still on the store, just not listed here)
Although it's been months since I last used the M$ store version (I switched to direct download because of this), Scratch did not appear in the “How do you want to open this file?” prompt and the option to search the M$ store does this exact same thing.

Hey there, if you want to open a sb3 file, open scratch ( desktop or online ) go to file on top, than click load from the computer, than click the file you want to open. I hope this is useful

I know that already.
The problem is that when I use the non-M$ store version, I can double click .sb3 files to open them, but I can't with the M$ store version.

Quick question, why is the “S” of M$ a dollar sign in your description?

It is really disappointing that Windows delisted the Scratch Desktop app from their dedicated store. Sorry to hear that.

It's still there, the problem is that you can't register it to open .sb3 files without some weird config.

We're aware of this problem. It's been on our list of things to fix for some time, but it has turned out to be more complex than expected. It will not be a quick fix, but in the meantime you can still open projects from inside the app.

Or just get TurboWarp Desktop, which is vastly superior in every imaginable way to both vanilla Scratch and Scratch Desktop.
