Offline Editor Download Page
It says that one should run the .exe file in step 2. What if someone installed it through MS Store? Did I read it wrong or you need to run a .exe file after installing it through MS Store?

Same goes with macOS. While I never really tried the operating system, I don't think you need to run a .dmg file after installing it through the App Store.

Step 1 seems to be downloading it, and Step 2 seems to be running it.
I'd say that you'd need to install it, and then run it.

You're right, only step 1 is necessary when installing it from an app store. This layout would be easier to understand (but wouldn't look as good):

(Mac) Step 2 moves the application into the application folder. Else, you won't really see it in the dock and such. It organizes where the app goes so if you want to delete it quicker or see some information on it, it's just easily going to finder > applications
