Sound is working; just not on my phone?

Hi all,

I'm new to scratch and really enjoying myself. I'm a teacher at a library and I want to teach kids how to use Scratch, so I'm practicing myself.

I've just made an interactive christmas card today and all seems to be working, but strangely enough, I don't get any sound when I open the link in my mobile browser (iPhone SE). When I send the link to others, the sound works for them. It also works on my computer.
Sound on other websites in the browser of my phone works just fine…

Does anyone have any idea why sound doesn't always work in safari mobile browser?

I just found out my other projects also don't play sound on my phone. And I've tested them before on my phone and sound worked fine a few days ago.
I turned my phone off and on again, but that didn't fix it either. Very weird that sound does work for other websites on my phone, but not scratch…

Any advice welcome…

I think the problem could be because of the phone not being perfectly compatible with Scratch. Since the main intended platform of Scratch is PC, there could be problems on mobile.

Making games on Scratch and learning other engines/frameworks. Also likes to make music using trackers.

You are using extensions, aren't you?

The problem could be is that the iphone is on mute or silent.

If the sounds are stored in the backdrop, then that's the problem, it's a weird scratch bug.
