Even There is no good reason this can't work on Safari and Firefox. The recording API exists for them to.SHAZAM's Music Detection works on Firefox and this speech-to-text can't. Why? Because
It's really just a ‘please can we spy on you’ message phrased in a way intended to confuse as many people as possible with a bit of self promotion thrown in.

Why I DO NOT use Chrome (or anything made by Google (except Fitbit (For absolutely no reason but I like Fitbit (Makes no sense if you read the rest (lots of brakets))))
ITS OWNED BY GOOGLE. Google use RNTBS (or something like that) which is Data selling in real time. Whats worse is it says..let me get somth- well I cant find it but they were even SUED because of it.

Agreed , nearly eveyone in my school uses chrome and I've been trying to get them to use firefox although for some reason they refuse. Chrome is bad

Our school computers have Firefox (), Chrome () and Edge (). I think IE is there, but not easily accesible. Most people use chrome though Whenever someone asks me for help, I tell them that they should use FF before I help them at all

dang google, at least ask the user if they want to use it. with this behaviour, it looks like micro$oft and apple are better to some extent in terms of privacy.

Yes. Scratch projects lag a tiny bit, but that's it. My laptop with over a 100 tabs open: NO LAG AT ALL
