Without Linux mode. With Linux mode you need a package manager (flatpak in the case of Firefox) to get another browser. This is absolutely bad, why??Chrome is the only browser you can get on Chromebooksholy *- im scared i want firefox now but i cant download stuff on the stupid school laptopso if im on a school chromebook, using chrome.. does that mean chrome, lightspeed, and relay is watching me at the same time? o_oYup

You actually don't even need to use Flatpak, and I find this way works better, as Firefox will be better up-to-date, and you don't have to deal with Flatpak: https://gist.github.com/LegoManiac04/03127a9f7c80da341af169062be2e44bWithout Linux mode. And Chromebooks are meant to be so restricted for security reasons, and they were never intended to be much more than Chromebooks.

Yes but it's not straight forward, the linux mode is definitely not for beginners and the Android app is designed for mobile devices, you can't get many extensions etc.https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browsers/chromebook/Chrome is the only browser you can get on Chromebooksholy *- im scared i want firefox now but i cant download stuff on the stupid school laptopso if im on a school chromebook, using chrome.. does that mean chrome, lightspeed, and relay is watching me at the same time? o_oYup

Exactly, plus reading ChromeOS/Android TOS, Google will not give you support for you device if you use things like linux mode to get apps not in play store, install from APKs, root your device, doing anything they don't like really. You actually don't even need to use Flatpak, and I find this way works better, as Firefox will be better up-to-date, and you don't have to deal with Flatpak: https://gist.github.com/LegoManiac04/03127a9f7c80da341af169062be2e44bWithout Linux mode. I know right, I found an article to get Ubuntu or Windows on a Chromebook but I don't have a Chromebook to test it on.I've done that before by installing an additional BIOS, but because of poor processor compatibility, it isn't practical.

You're right. I'm not much of a linux user anyways. You actually don't even need to use Flatpak, and I find this way works better, as Firefox will be better up-to-date, and you don't have to deal with Flatpak: https://gist.github.com/LegoManiac04/03127a9f7c80da341af169062be2e44bWithout Linux mode. “Oops, this isn't the internet, this is firefox” - Someone at my school…Not their fault - they're probably used to seeing nearly everyone on Earth using Chrome, if I wasn't so smart at tech I would've probably through that Chrome is the only gateway to the internet.

I might consider using ff on a regular basis if it weren't so slow - although it claims to be really fast and memory efficient, even attempting to use google meet on it hangs the page on my computer. On mobile, it's pretty good, even though it's really over-complicated to get extensions, but I use kiwi, a chromium fork, on mobile because it just feels so much faster.
