For some reason, every time an internet related topic starts in the ATs, it transforms into a Firefox topic. Yes, that includes the Chrome topic. So..

Firefox is the best browser - it's nearly as fast as Chrome, has better tracking prevention features, *cough* doesn't send data to Google *cough* , better dev-tools, and better themes, and tons of customizability. It's better than Chrome. I use Firefox btw.
Firefox is also very under-rated.

Firefox is amazing. It has a lot of amazing features. Do you get Enhanced Tracking Protection from Chrome? No. Mozilla is also focused on the user. Oh also, the screenshot picture has helped me with my schoolwork and also just if I need to send a picture of my browser to someone.

+1 it has never even broken news sites with 1000s of ads - and yet it still blocks trackers and 3rd party cookies. Has it broken any websites in my experience? Nope!

Exactly. I refuse to believe a company who's main income method is tracking will have good tracking prevention. has better tracking prevention features

firefox is a good browser, and i used to use it, but i don't intend on switching back from chrome anytime soon, for the same reason i think i'll keep using windows as my primary operating system. in windows' case, i don't care about the “inconistent ui” or whether the corners are rounded or flat, it doesn't affect the function of the product and i actually really like windows 10's ui. windows just works, it might not do it very gracefully but it does everything i need it to do and it does it quite efficiently. my computer also isn't a repurposed trash can that gets pinned opening up task manager. anyway, short offtopic rant about operating systems aside, the reason i still use chrome is quite similar. afaik most of googles' tracking is in their actual sites, not chrome. i use duck duck goose as a search engine and use an android phone anyway (albeit lineage os). chrome is just laid out in a way that i prefer.

Chrome has serious issues when it comes to protecting your security and your privacy. The world’s leading browser has issued one urgent fix after another this year, as high-risk exploits have been found in the wild; and just a few weeks ago, Google finally admitted it had “accidentally” allowed millions of users to be secretly tracked.
Google says it wants to change, to put your privacy first, that web tracking is now out of control and has resulted in “an erosion of trust.” But as DuckDuckGo warns, “it’s all noise until Google actually agrees to collect less data and do less behavioral targeting.”
The latest tracking nightmare for Chrome users comes in two parts. First, Google has ignored security warnings and launched a new Chrome API to detect and report when you’re “idle,” i.e., not actively using your device. Apple warns “this is an obvious privacy concern,” and Mozilla that it’s “too tempting an opportunity for surveillance.”

if a website chooses to use those apis, then it's that website that's the issue. what are they going to do with the knowledge of whether i'm idle or not, anyway?bruh - most of googles' tracking is in their actual sites, not chromehttps://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdoffman/2021/10/02/stop-using-google-chrome-on-windows-10-android-and-apple-iphones-ipads-and-macs/“surveillance, manipulation and abuse.” If you’re one of those users, this nasty new surprise just gave you a reason to quit.An alarming new update from Google that hasn’t yet made headlines has suddenly put Chrome’s 2.6 billion users at risk of
