About SEW

Welcome! If you are here, you are probably a camper wanting to know more about SEW.

★ SEW is a triennial (three times a year) online writing camp that runs in the months of January, May, and September (This is the only session that takes place in October). Each session goes for one full month.

★ In SEW, you can learn more about writing, while having fun and making new friends. You can try new things, and strive to overcome your writing challenges.

★ SEW has nothing to do with sewing, don't worry ^^"
It actually Stands for Series Of Elements in Writing. In other words, it is an online writing camp!

★ This session we are focusing on poetry. At the start of the month, you make a word goal, and aim to write that many words in the month. We recommend at least 5000 words as a goal for new campers.

★ SEW is a friendly contest between the cabins, as everyone wants their cabin to be ranked first! You can earn points for your cabin by completing daily and weekly challenges, as well as just writing in general.

★ SEW is a lot like SWC, but you don't have to have participated in SWC to be in this! In SEW there will be Weekly challenges, Daily Challenges, and possibly Cabin-War like things! I can assure you it will be tons of fun, and you will learn heaps!
