kill the ~300 clone limit.

the 300 clone limit has been a thing since scratch began iirc, i understand its purpose of preventing lag but come on. it's been a decade and computers / web browsers / the scratch engine itself(?) should be much more capable of handling higher limits. it's super annoying for me right now as i'm trying to create a touhou 6 clone and no matter how much optimization i do some attacks are bound to reach the clone limit. i understand making that many clones isn't a priority for most people, but i wish i didn't have to stress about the clone limit all the time.

also - is there an external site which allows you to bypass the clone limit at least? thanks.

kill the ~300 clone limit.

Unfortunately, this was rejected by the ST because:
2.6 Increase the 300 clone limit – may cause Scratch to run slowly for some
It's good to check TOLORS (The Official List Of Rejected Suggestions) so you can see if your suggestion was rejected by the ST.

The clone limit is set in place to prevent projects from becoming unplayable. Otherwise, users could create a large number of clones very quickly and crash someone's browser page. Plus, the Scratch Team wants to make sure that all projects run smoothly for as many people as possible. Increasing the limit to even 500 clones might make the project run slowly on some users' devices.

TurboWarp removes some limits and makes projects run faster. You can allow infinite clones in TurboWarp's Advanced settings.
