New to Scratch! What does broadcasting do?
I'm new to scratch, and i know this might sound silly to someone but what do the broadcasting blocks do? How can i use them?Welcome! Broadcast blocks send a “message” to other sprites, which When I Recieve blocks, do something when they get that message For example you can put this on Sprite1
when this sprite clicked
say [Hello!] for (2) secs
broadcast [hi v]
and this on Sprite2 (you need to create this sprite)
when I receive [hi v]
say [What's up?] for (2) secs
so when you click on sprite1 it will say hello, then send a message to sprite2 to say What's up! Hope this helps!
