One thing that I request every now and then is the ability to tell a sprite that it is not “pointing” right but is “pointing” in another direction.

If a pupil draws a rocket ship - they will draw it standing upright and they expect it to go up when then use a move block.

If they have a sprite character looking left, they expect it to move left when they use a move block.

Now WE all know how to get around these issues but it would be very nice to just teach how to click an option in the sprite direction/rotate/flip settings to set the default direction for their sprite.

Much easier to explain/do than saying flip your sprite to make it point right and then add a direction block to get it back to what you wanted in the first place.

I really feel this is would be a good “floor lowering” feature

this is a suggestion, meaning its not in scratch. the workaround is rotating the costume

You would have to go to sprite details (Beneath the stage; make sure to have that sprite selected) click the direction spot and grab the wheel and turn until the sprite is pointing the desired way. No support as this is already implemented.
