Introduction
It's only a few minutes ago, that was when I realised how easy
it is to steal projects.

It's been around for
years at this point, yet, the scratch team didn't fully fix it yet.

In here, I'll talk about the problem and how they could potentially
stop it.

How does it work?
Well look if you take any project and click on “see inside” you
can download the project, once you downloaded it you can
create a new project, load the file and now the credits are gone.

What's the effect?
People can get away with stealing projects.

They can make a project, wait for a new game, steal it
and then publish as if it is their project.

This causes the actual creator(s) to be accused by
stealing other peoples projects.

How do you fix it?
Well I know that this is already against the rules, and people
can get banned.

The only problem with this is that there's a
chance that they can still get away with it.

Also mentioned in "How does it work?" this is done by downloading
the project. The way we can fix this is by putting
some more information in the file of the project. Maybe some
sort of variable? Some variable that defines who's
project it is?

how messed up this truly is.

If someone steals a project without remixing the original project or giving credit to the original creator then you can just report it.

a randomized hash like in passwords would be better but this is Not A Bug. Reporting to be closed. (dont worry you wont get banned for this)

If someone is circumventing the project credit system, please report the project for not giving credit. If you want to discuss possible improvements to this system, then please use the existing suggestion - thanks.
