My browser / operating system: Android Linux 5.1.1, Chrome 90.0.4430.210, No Flash version detected
I have this one message that refuses to go away. I keep entering the messages, and it says no message but the newest one, 12 minutes ago as of making this, and when I exit, there's a new message, but its the same one.

Also, it only happens on 2.0 pages.

Try clearing your cache, and try logging out and in again.

Android 5 is really old, it's deprecated as of 2020.

Technically this is my grandmother's tablet so yeah.
Also, I'm on a private tab, so I can't clear browsing data.

Happens to me too! If I understand correctly, you're saying that the icon shows 1 message, but there are no messages unread? In that case, it happens to me usually after I've been paused. Once I'm un-paused, then I check the ST alert, and the bug goes away.

But I haven't been paused. I did get a message from the ST for accusing a suggestion of being a troll, but I could still comment.
