But then there would be no or or and blocks. The <, >, and = blocks are not the same.

How would that work? As @Queer_Royalty mentioned, the symbols represent different things…

they never said it was a mod edit. in fact, in the very part you quoted, it shows:

by the way, would the OP mind putting a more descriptive title?

I've seen suggestions like these before. “Clutter-saving” suggestions like these do little but make the block palette less efficient to use. For example, if I wanted to do division, I would have to drag out the “math” block, then click the drop-down, select division, and then proceed as usual, while with the current system I only have to drag out the division block.

Also, it makes the palette more confusing to first-time users. Sure, I may be able to recognize a drop-down and deduce that a subtraction feature must be available in the addition block, but someone just starting out might not understand that yet and would be reasonably confused when they can't find a block to subtract/multiply/divide.

Is it really worth putting users through all of this trouble just to take away four (commonly used) spaces in the block palette?

This is such a difficult topic to read. OP keeps deleting their sentences, and this includes quotes.

Please don't intentionally obfuscate your suggestions. It makes it hard for others to read and it wastes time.
