Hey everyone,
I was just drawing a background for a project I'm working on,but it seems like I'm unable to use the filling tool properly.I can't actually fill in larger areas and it only seemed to work with areas I didn't draw with the ruler (maybe it's because of something else tho,I don't know).Am I doing something wrong?If someone knows how to fix the problem,I'd be glad to hear the solution!Also probably important to mention,that I'm drawing in vector mode.

Yeah. This is the issue. You can redraw the background or draw over it.

In vector mode, there needs to be a closed shape in order for it to be fillable. If you draw a few lines and put them together to make a triangle, that will look enclosed, but it's actually considered open, as it is made up of open shapes. If you use the ellipse tool, then that is automatically a closed shape, and that can be filled.

If you are using bitmap mode, then the fill tool works differently, allowing you to fill the inside of any shape that looks closed, no matter how you created it.

Yeah. Open things in vector won't fill unless they're closed. Even if you put another line that isn't connected to an open shape, over the open spot, it's not connected, so it won't work.

Polygon, anyways in bitmap this is possible. But this is an intended feature.

why is the fill tool just not filling everything in, it just colors in most of it, but it keeps like an outline of nothing around it.
