Welcome to the forums. I'm not sure which forum you should post this in, but it's definitely not this one. For future reference, you could phrase it as “How can I code faster/more efficiently?” in the QAS forum instead


One tip to being a faster (but accurate) coder is to UNDERSTAND your code. That means you understand why certain blocks are used for certain things, instead of just blindly copying the code from tutorials/guides into your own projects. This will help you to form your own methods of coding, and in the future you would not need to keep referring to things such as YT videos to make a game/animation.

This is the reason why if you look through my posts (such as this one), you'll find that some of them have a step-by-step guide to making various scripts (if the person requesting for help was relatively new to scratch), instead of just plonking one entire stack of blocks into a reply. I want the other party to actually understand what's going on, so that they can learn from each and every discussion they make.

I didn't want to apply for the GWR because anyone who sees my quick puzzle-solving skills will most likely faint with amazement on the spot. Being a civilized Scratcher, I have decided not to show off my abilities just yet ;)
