discussi'm really looking forward to it. i've always hated windows 10 for being a horrible buggy mess with inconsistent design, and pushing the microsoft store in your face, but it does what i want and it works (most of the time, at least), it's nice to see that microsoft actually care about their os and their userbase for once.

i'm really looking forward to it. i've always hated windows 10 for being a horrible buggy mess with inconsistent design, and pushing the microsoft store in your face, but it does what i want and it works (most of the time, at least), it's nice to see that microsoft actually care about their os and their userbase for once.I must agree- I switched to a Chromebook a few years back because of how horrible Windows 10 was. I must say, I am hoping that this will really be Windows 11/a new Windows installation, though I know my mom is gonna be annoyed and confused lol

Hmm, if they're abandoning 10X then presumably Windows will be made more tablet-like to unify both their folding Windows thing and desktops

I thought that windows 10 would become a service-type system (no new operating system versions coming out, except updates). Now, It looks like they may be releasing a new version of windows. Presumably, Windows 11 or 12.

the scratch team fixing the ability to view unshared projects is an entirely good thing. it's a shame that it took them so long, but i'm actually incredibly relieved that work is even being done on it.
a project that isn't shared, should never have been visible to anyone but the creator and the scratch team. full stop.
all of these workarounds people are thinking of would never be implemented. they allow for private messaging, which can lead to Really Bad Things. if you want others to be able to see your projects, share it. it's that simple.

In my opinion, its too early for that. A fair number of people use Windows 7, and then download pages are going to be very confusing (unless they use UA strings to determine correct dowloads)Or they will just abandon version numbers.Anyway it's a feature update for windows 10 not a big thing perhaps or maybe a final windows called Windows not like Windows Xp, Windows 7 or 10.Not likely to be a final windows. the thing im worried about is, since they're dropping 10X, 11 will be more tablet friendly then, which i dont want because of how bad it was on Windows 8
