Just use Google Translate

Yeah but Google Translate isn't a reliable source because many people abuse the ‘suggest an edit’ button and add translations that are inaccurate or just completely fake all together. That's why you're better off just straight up learning a language instead of trusting a potentially misleading translation site.

Just a few minutes before writing this post I checked online to see if Duolingo had released its Arabic lessons yet, because it originally said it was scheduled for release on 8/1/2018 but now its saying that its not going to be available until 10/1/2018. I don't know if they are just updating it or fixing some bugs or something, but its setting a few people behind.

I don't think it's possible to translate words in a Scratch project. But in Scratch 3 they have a Google Translate extension where you can translate a language to another.

when green flag clicked
say (translated word) for (2) secs
say (join [I translated (translated word)] to hello!]) for (2) secs

If you want a bad translation, sure go ahead

It's a brilliant tool to help you understand what people wrote in other languages, but don't use it to publish stuff.

Yeah I've used Google Translate a few times in the past to help me get a better understanding of the penmanship of the certain language but I never use it to actually translate words because most of the time its wrong. Google doesn't even bother to properly moderate its Translate feature because their “too busy” I guess.

Like one time in Italian class my teacher told us to use Google Translate if we needed any help with spelling or something and I used it one time (I forget which word it was since it was a while ago) and the Google Translate wasn't even close to the actual word I saw in the textbook.

Scratch has been translated into more than 40 languages with the generous help of volunteering translators from all over the world.
However, parts of the Scratch interface and website in some languages are still missing translations, and some translations might have glitches. If you have experience with some language, you can help in completing the translations and correcting any mistakes.

We've made a Scratch wiki page that explains how translations can be contributed:
http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/How_to_Translate_Scratch

You can check the current status of the translations on Scratch Transifex page:
https://www.transifex.com/llk/public/

Thanks for your help!

I don't understand what you mean - Japanese is being translated: https://www.transifex.com/llk/scratch-editor/language/ja/

They even have a discussion thread here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/4196/

You can switch to Japanese on the very bottom of every page - there is a drop-down menu there for the languages.

Prof. Scannell is doing a good job on the Gaeilge translation - the editor is already at 100%
