What is BrambleOS?
BrambleOS is an idea I had which will hopefully one day turn into a Scratch OS (Operating System)! If you choose to join me, then we’re getting one step closer to creating an amazing OS. No matter if you’re an amateur in your field, we’ll find something for you to contribute towards or help out with! At BrambleOS, everyone can get a job (unless we’re not hiring ) Please consider joining the OS team today! Thank you!

Rules & Stuff Like That

Rules

The following will result in a strike. These are explained in ‘other’.

• Do not spam
  
• Do not advertise your own work (unless it is related to the OS or conversation you are having)
  
• Stay on-topic (e.g. don’t talk about your holiday to Spain or wherever you went)
  
• Be active (explained later)
  
• Do not accept any forms unless you are me.
  

The following are not ‘rules’ as such, they are sort of guidelines. You won’t get a strike if you disobey them, but please try to stick to them.

• Fill out the temporary leave form if you’re taking a temporary leave, fill out the resignation form if you want to permanently leave the team.
  
• You may only have for two positions maximum. This is to avoid having a large workload.
  
• Others can contribute ideas, if I think they are good then I will add them to the current goals post.
  
• Follow the forum to get the latest updates!
  

When to Post Where

Post on the Forum when:

• There is something big or important - since we should all be following the forum, we will all get a notification whenever someone posts - for this reason, please do not spam.
  
• The codeword is ‘computer’. Include this in your application form, under the section ‘why do you want to join BrambleOS?’, in a sentence and well hidden just to make sure you’ve read the rules.
  
• You are filling in a form - do not post this in the studio because forms are messy in comments and they are easier to read on forums.
  
• You are starting/finishing something so we can all keep up to date.
  
• You are discussing ideas - it’s easier for us all to see, plus we all get notifications so we can all contribute to the idea.
  

Post in the Studio when:

• You are discussing something that you and only a few others need to know about (e.g. someone needed help programming so you would ask in the studio). NOTE: I expect everyone to check the studio regularly-ish since we don’t get notifications.
  
• It’s not urgent/important - don’t post this on the forum because if it is not urgent then everyone will get a notification and it will clog up their inboxes.

Current Tasks (What I want to get done now)

Strikes

As explained in the rules post, you get strikes for not abiding by the rules. If you get 3 (iii) of these strikes, you will unfortunately be fired.

Explaining the rule ‘Be active’
I want every member of this team to be active and able to contribute, so every so often, I will hold an ‘activity check’. They are commonplace in most collaborative projects/shops, so I’m sure you know about them. You should respond to them within 4 days of the post being put out, by quoting the original post and saying ‘Active’ (or something similar), but I will always put the date and time you need to respond by. You are excused from activity checks if you are on temporary leave and will not be given a strike if you don’t respond.

Why do you want to join BrambleOS? Well I thought that I had a computer so that I should check out collabs and I found this so I wanted experience.
How active will you be (1-10)? 9 (i'm trying to get my other account a Scratcher, when I do I'll use that some bit).

Why do you want to join BrambleOS?: Because I like doing collaborations, and I have a lot of knowledge with real OS and Computers in general.
How active will you be (1-10)?: Currently 9, but when school is out I won't have an on demand computer so about 4 after school is out. (1 week), that might not be accurate but it probably is.

Why do you want to join BrambleOS?: I've been working on a OS for a long time, (procrastinated ._.), and I really like to explore my mac sometimes and see some details about the OS. I haven't been in a collaboration in a while, too.
How active will you be (1-10)?: 6-8 ( I have school too )
