I think scratch should make a section where if you click on create a tab will show up saying CC or Other, if you click other, people can not remix the project, if you click CC people can remix the project, because recolors are making people leave Scratch, it's getting bad, thanks ot remixing soon scratch will be no more than an abandoned website because everyone left. think about it.

No. This will not happen. Scratch is and will always allow remixes.

This doesn't seem like a good idea. Remember, this is a website for kids. Therefore, we do thing that kids would probably do, like referencing things other kids make. If they recolor your artwork and remix it, at least they gave you credit on that one. So, yeah, I'm done.

That's not a mature post at all. Firedrake969 was only expressing their opinion. I expect Firedrake969 was a bit ‘abrupt’ because these kind of posts have been made so many times before, and no one reads the stickys before posting. Just because someone doesn't agree with your idea it does not mean you can try and start a flame war.

Well, you did post this in a public forum, which means others can respond to it, agree or disagree. They're perfectly allowed to do so as long as they're polite, and the same goes for the person giving the idea. (In this case, you!) ^^

As for the idea, as others here have said disabling remixes has been suggested a lot and it won't ever happen because it goes against the “share” aspect of Scratch. Please see our list of things not to suggest. It's a sticky! We consider recolors to be a perfectly valid form or remixing, so long as credit is given. (I also feel compelled to point out the irony that your profile picture is a recolored version of someone else's art. )
