You know you're a rat lover when…

…you eat a cookie in a chair with your back to the rat cage and even though they can't even see your cookie, they're at the wall with permanently boggling eyes and pleading looks and bruxing. And you give them the cookie.
…you walk near the cage and the rats, which were previously fighting over a pecan, run up to the cage door in a foofteenth of a second and try to get free time.
…you order a pizza with 5 or 6 toppings and see the rats asking to eat some, so you end up eating a plain pizza slice with nothing but sauce as the rats eat the rest. Then you give them the crusts.
.. every time you get cage fright you jump on the bus/in the car and zoom back home where you round up the rats and put them in the cage and close the door. (I don't drive, and don't go to work. I have not had this happen…yet.)
…you spend your bored hours playing with rats.
…you end up buying 15 things on a pet shop trip though only there for food.
…you dig out 50% of the recycling can for the rats.

I used to have a rat named penelope, but he's loong gone after the cedar bedding incident.
