Scratch Literature Camp | June 2k21!

Are you a reader? Are you a writer? Do you like both? Do you like camps?
If your answer was ‘yes’ to any of the above, then I think you would enjoy Scratch Literature Camp!
What is it? Read on below!

What is Scratch Literature Camp?
Scratch Literature Camp, abbreviated as SLC no it does not stand for space launch complex for all you space nerds, is a writing and reading camp that runs in June. You set word and page goals, and try to reach them in the month! If you've ever been to swc and/or src and/or Camp Pinelake, it's a bit like that. We also have fun daily activities too like Cabin Crazy.

What are page and word goals?
Page and word goals are how many pages you want to read, and word goals are how many words you want to write during June.

What should be my page and word goal?
Firstly, let's get one thing off the bat: your page and word goals ARE NOT STATIC. If you don't want to read or write what you've set for yourself, you can change that. Just let me or my co-leader know!
I would also say go by your own judgement and be mature. Remember, you have to read AND write, so set yourself a reasonable and achievable goal. Minimum is 1,000 words and 500 pages

What cabin should I join?
Well, there are two cabins: Fiction and Non-Fiction. We'll probably place you randomly, but that's up to Aniimalz–

Do I have to write or read in my cabin's name/theme/genre?
No. You can read or write anything!

How much should I read or write per day, on average?
There is no limit or minimum - you can read one day and write another, or do nothing! However, be healthy! Read no more than 1.5k pages a day, and write no more than 2k words a day (excluding words for school) as a rough estimate.

How do I join?
