i've just been on the wayback machine looking through the old 1.4
and god i miss it

anyway the wayback machine is a digital time capsule thing made by the internet archive
it allows you to go back in time in pretty much any website on the internet to like 2005

its pretty awesome

I've started using that a lot very recently actually. I often use it to read vintage Rolling Stone album reviews from the 60's and 70's, which they've deleted from the Rolling Stone website for some reason.

Yeah. Supposedly they crawl the site, but they don't do it very well.

It's pretty useful for finding information on people, especially if they've deleted it.

I've been using it a lot lately as part of a project of mine. Geocities sites can sometimes be found on there and they were the medium of choice for amateur wargaming content at the turn of the century.

I thought it was just there for all the webpages and I learned my lesson the hard way, closed the tab in less than a second
