Book Title : Emily Windsnap and the Land of the Midnight Sun

In this book, Njord has been frozen in ice. No one is quite sure who did that to him except for him and his brother, Neptune. They were fighting when it happened. The fight was out of control, and soon enough Neptune froze Njord. Njord eventually unfroze and wanted revenge on his brother. He wanted to wipe Neptune off the Earth forever. All though this seems extremely harsh, its just fair that he wanted to do this to Neptune. After all, Neptune froze him solid in ICE for who knows how many years. If Neptune did this to his own brother, Neptune might as well have killed him. If Emily didn't drop a crystal on Njord, he would've been frozen forever, which just as bad as dying. Thank you for your time.

Note : This is kind of more of a nightmare and I had this dream a while ago, but I remember it

We were walking through a long hall of a five star hotel. It was a twenty-three story hotel, and we were on floor twenty-two. For some strange reason, there wasn't an elevator, only stairs.

We were climbing up the stairs when my mom said,“Shh… Quiet. He can't know we're here. Not yet.”

We finally made it up the stairs. The floor was mainly white marble with the occasional dark brown, marble square shapes on the floor. There really wasn't anything in the room, at least that we could see. All of a sudden we spotted it, a small chair with a tall, slim man sitting on it. He had dark brown hair that was almost black, pale skin, icy blue eyes, and a mischievous, evil smile. He was wearing a black suit and a black tie.

“Only one of you can make it out tonight,” The man said in a cold voice, that sounded as if he was talking right in front of a fan; it was as if it were vibrating and high-pitched, at least from what we expected.

We all turned and stared at each other, wondering why only one of us could make it out, and who would it be if this man was telling the truth. There were around twenty of us which means that one of us would be leaving the rest of the nineteen alone. Suddenly, bright red fire burst out of nowhere and surrounded the walls of the room, and as soon as it came, the fire disappeared.

“Let us begin,” The man said in the same voice with the same smile. Then, he snapped his finger and we were all separated behind glass walls. We were still able to see each other of course, for it was only glass. Then a claw dragged me into a leather chair and locked me onto the chair. What I mean by that is that a metal looking seatbelt appeared out of the chair and locked me in. The man walked over to me first. He walked slowly with his hands behind his back, while his shoes made loud tap noises as he walked across the room. When he finally got to me, he held out a long leather case in one hand and a two cards facing downwards in the other.

“You can only choose one. And I must warn you now, you're decision will decide the fate of these people,” he said. Then, the leather case glowed a little and then so did the cards. I pointed at the cards. He smiled and handed me the cards. I flipped them over, wondering what it might be. And to my surprise, they were normal playing cards. There was a queen of hearts and an ace of spades.

(I'm not sure why it didn't add this but here's where it meant to end)

Then he smiled and the brightest light I’ve ever seen took over the whole room and blinded all of us, not seeing each other.

Note : Whoa… I haven't done a writing daily in a long time. Also, I wrote this story a while ago so the names are kind of weird xD

Brielle was just a fifteen year old who…. Well, she’s really hard to explain. She could be every personality at the same time. Cheerful while sad, sarcastic while optimistic, you get the point. Now she's off to her second year of high school. She’s excited to go back, for her older brothers aren’t much company, teasing her and mainly being almost absolutely silent while they go on their phones. Brielle has many friends at school, who will socialize with her.
“Brielle, where’s my phone?” Noah asked. He was the oldest of the three siblings, seventeen and was ready to get out into the world away from his family as soon as possible.
“I didn’t take it,” Brielle insisted.
“I know you did.”
“Well, I didn’t.”
“Prove it.”
“Fine, just watch me.” Brielle got up, marched over to the couch, and picked up one of the pillows. Where the pillow was, Noah’s phone was there.
“Thanks,” he mumbled, snatching it away.
“Told you I didn’t take it.”
“Whatever. Just get in the car,” Noah said shoving some books into his backpack.
“Wait!” yelled James. The second oldest. “I didn’t even eat breakfast yet!”
“Well, hurry up! Or we’re leaving without you,” Brielle said, closing the front door behind her.
“Fine! I don’t need breakfast…” And with that, the three siblings closed the door and went to school.
The moment they pulled up front, Brielle raced out of the car, and searched for her friends. Walking through the halls, she heard a familiar voice behind her. Brielle spun around.
“Hey!” It was Jade. She had dirty blonde hair, and sparkling blue eyes.
“Hey. Where’s Avery? I was assuming she’d be with you,” Brielle said
“Oh, I haven’t really seen her at all yet. Class starts in…” Jade checked her watch. “11 minutes. That’s enough time. Let’s go look for her.” They turned around and-you guess it- there was Avery, walking down the hall with her wavy light brown hair and sage green eyes. She was wearing a casual white dress under a sage green jacket that matched her eyes. Walking next to her were three other girls who were just as pretty as her, laughing and talking non-stop. Let’s just say that Avery was one of those nice popular kids who knows pretty much everyone in the school, and since Avery was popular, so was Jade and Brielle.
“Oh hey guys!” Avery waved at them.
“Hi,” they said in unison. The bell rang and soon enough, most people in the halls were gone and in their classrooms.
“We better get to class, but-” Jade started.
“Oh, but who cares if we’re just one single minute late? C’mon I want to show you something I found when I got to my locker.”
“Um, what if we get marked down for being tardy?” Brielle said/asked nervously.
“Oh, it’ll be fine! It’ll only take a second. Come on, we’re going,”Avery said, pulling them to her locker. The three girls that were with Avery walked away to class together.
When they got to the locker room, Avery showed them a large crack in the wall next to her locker. She peeled off more of the wall, making the crack even bigger than it was before. She got her phone out and turned on the flashlight. Jade and Brielle gasped.
“Whoa,” the two girls said together.
Inside the room, from what they could see, there were chairs and projector on the wall. Maps covered most of the walls and there were pencils, feathers, books, and - for some strange reason - bananas on the floor.
“We should check it out, right?” Avery said, already poking her hand into the hole. She was about to fully get into the room when Brielle said,”Not yet. Class started, like, six minutes ago. We better get to class. Maybe during our lunch break, or even after school we could check it out.”
“I agree,” Jade said nervously.
“Okay, fine…” Avery got out of the hole and the three of them headed to their classes.
While Brielle was in class she wondered what secrets were in the room. They were definitely checking out, maybe not now, maybe not even any time soon, but they will eventually.

Look. I got mad at Marley for a good reason…. I think. I mean, if your friend group was the most unpopular group at your school and then suddenly your best friend - who by the way is the most nobody-est person in this school - gets an invitation to become a track team jock, wouldn't you be as mad as I was too? He'll just become a popular jock and he'll leave me and Max behind to be unpopular. Trust me, I know. Well… Marley knows. Stanford used to be his best friend. They were both unpopular and now Stanford is popular and Marley is- well, you know. And besides, he said it himself that we were nobodies. I can't believe that Max suggested that Marley should go to be popular with all those other suck up kids. I'll never talk to Marley again. Ever.

I have most of my classes with Marley, but I ignore him and he ignores me. We still eat lunch together underneath the Tragic Tree, but in silence. Max tries to spring up a conversation with something like “So….” or “What do you guys have for lunch?” but it never works. Ignoring Marley is actually super easy- well… at least easier than I thought. So far so good.

I continue to ignore him for the next week. He doesn't try to talk to me, which I'm completely, perfectly fine with. The next week in AV Club, Marley announces to all of us that he put down the offer of becoming a track team jock. I guess Max thought that now that Marley isn't a jock, I would be cool with him because she shot me a look to say something to him. I just bit my lip and said to Marley,“You're still a traitor, you know. Nothing’s changed.”

“Yeah, sure. Whatever,” he replies, looking away. But I can see him smirking just in the corner of my eye. ‘Whatever. He’s still a traitor,' I keep telling that to myself, but I can't help but grin as well. I shiver and the grin wipes off my face.

The next day, we talk to each other more. Not a lot because, duh he’s still a rotten traitor, but enough to have conversations like this:

“Hi.”
“Hey.”
“What kind of Ramen Noodles do you have today?”
“Shrimp Ramen.”
“Cool.”

Yup, that’s about it. This awkward conversation thing goes on until two more weeks pass. Apparently, Marley beat up the most annoying, powerful, strong bully in the whole school. And look, if your best friend is the one who did that, you’ll see why you want to be friends with him again, even if he is a semi-traitor.
