Thumbnail Not Updating On Your Project? Talk about it here.

I've seen a few scattered bug reports talking about the thumbnails. I've had this issue, and I would like for others to share about this Issue

France

Also Please don't say anything like “Clear your Cache”. That only helps with your end of the problem (barely) since this is a server-side issue, Scratch themselves needs to sort this out on their servers.

Yea, iv been having that same issue. Iv tried different thumbnail scripts but none are working. It shows on the project just not my profile and this has happened to all my projects posted since last night.

ok, so I just found out it only affects the “My Stuff” section of the thumbnails. if you change your featured project, it will show the updated thumbnail on the featured project.

buuuuut it's only temporary and will revert back to old if you refresh the page

Even using hard reload does not update thumbnails. PROOF

someone did say that the thumbnail was showing for them? idrk. its not showing for me tho

This is how I fix it, well, kinda… it only shows you the most recent thumbnail until you go back to the site. cdn2 –> uploads

However, for some reason if you go to the My Stuff menu and the thumbnail appears, it's locked there in that state until this is fixed, and then if later you share it and go to your profile, it might lock in a completely different state. For example, I have a project that is just one sprite and a background in My Stuff, but because I shared it later, it saved as the completed thumbnail on my profile page, but was still locked as the other thumbnail in My Stuff.

interesting… but that seems like an unstable (and complicated) way to fix this issue…But that is a good lead

I was having this problem too, im relieved I'm not the only one. I couldn't update my banner, and when I tried to make a new one, it's not working.

The forums scare me, but I still come on here from time to time.

IKR? IT IS GETTING SO ANNOYING! This must be just some glitch which scratch can't seem to fix. I'm losing followers because i can't reshare my projects with their thumbnails. Yesterday i used my other computer to see if it would have the same effect, and it did, so it ruled out something wrong with my computer-

I'm having the same issue- I've tried shift-command-R (I'm on an Apple computer) and it still hasn't worked. ;w;

This problem's been for at least 1 1/2 weeks now, i'n surprised the ST havent solved it yet

They have 52,000,000 Projects on their site, so it only makes sense that their servers would get overloaded. They probably haven't done anything because it requires a lot more power and money than they were allowed from MIT.

Also when I go to add a project to a studio it shows the thumbnail. So it's just not showing on my profile but is showing everywhere else like for studios, featured project etc..

i just posted a project (this: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/520716189/) and the THUMBNAIL WORKED

but its still not working for the other projects..
