AUTOSAVE Feature Needs to Be Toggle-able
I hate going in to my games, messing around with them for a bit just for fun, then exiting out of the editor. After I come back the next day, I realize all those changes that I thought I didn't save, had been auto-saved and were automatically put into the real game. This could be very annoying for project creators who have very complex games that are difficult to reset and I think we should have an option to have it on or off.
It could be located right next to the share button.
- For example, hit create, go over and uncheck “Autosave”, and then mess around with your projects without worrying about it saving every thing you do that you don't want others to see.
I hope they see this and implement it, it could be very useful!
Have a good day

Support, I guess. While I don't make projects where this would generally affect me, it would affect other scratchers it seems so support.
aII toasters toast toast, but what happens when there are no longer toasters being produced? will their technology simply become obsolete, with humans moving onto bigger, better things? will toast become a distant memory, written in textbooks of the future as foods us simpler generations ate? who's to say! society is constantly moving, changing, evolving, ideas being built upon, improved upon, theories being proven or disproven. are we but a blip on the timeline? sure, our names may not be remembered, but that's not the point. you can make a change. you can make a difference. you can make the world better, even if you don't know yet. and the first step is to go for it. even if you are afraid of failure. going back to the example of toasters, do you know off the top of your head who invented them? no? have you used one? probably. so, even if you don't remember my name, if I was able to help awnser your question, that is enough. if I was able to help you, even in the slightest way, this could push you to continue with scratch and not give up after the program crashes, and maybe one day learn other programming languages and change the world. everything is a cause and effect reaction, new inventions lead to the technology of the future, and even as the generations of the past are slowly forgotten, their influence lives on to this day, affecting how the world eventually turned out and how it will be for generations to come.
and, without toasters, we wouldn't have toast.

Just make a copy if you want to mess around (which I am aware did not exist at the time of this suggestion), or if you were me, use the offline editor.

I'm not 100% sure that the rules of necroposting apply in Suggestion forums, because when you dupe something, and somebody says: If so, you're technically necroposting.
Continue the discussion hereand when you post, people are mad at you for necroposting. I'm pretty sure Za-Chary even said that necroposting shouldn't be an issue on the Forums, but I'm too lazy to find the quote

I kinda do the same thing, except with art. Whenever I feel that I'm gonna mess something up I make a duplicate of that costume to MAKE SURE that I have gone all careless with what I'm doing, so that's why people say my art is legandary! But I support everything else!

It will still be there, you can just turn it off if you don't want it. Autosave needs to be enabled.

As a toggleable option, I support.
Storytime: I remember working on a project a long time ago. I deleted the player sprite on accident. I didn't know about the undo button. Then the autosave started.
Or also, how about an option that pops up with a message saying “save project?” if you haven't saved for a certain period of time? That way autosave wouldn't mess you up + you wouldn't forget to save either.

I support.
It would remove the problem that your project saves while you are editing it and if someone happens to play that project while it is being edited, it is broken for that guy.
