The current meow emoji looks a little old and it's a png:
This is my improved svg version of it:
As you can see, the old png looks like a pixelated and blurry mess. So my suggestion is to replace the _meow_ emoji with a newer vector version of it.

removed sorry

♩ It's gonna be right on time, It's gonna be right on time…♩ (Reference to a Cantonese sitcom)
And I'm right on time to see this suggestion!
SUPPORT!
That new emoji is more modernized and more recognizable.

Support, the emoji is higher quality, scalable and it is actually transparent. No reason not to implement this suggestion.

I mean, it's just an emoji.. but updating all the emojis to a vector version that still keeps the happy quality of the Scratch Cats would be nice.

I don't think the emojis support vector formats so it would still need to be a png either way. Besides, unless you zoom in to something ridiculous, they will indistinguishable.

Currently Scratch uses PNGs for all emojis, but I don't think there is a technical reason to not make them SVGs.

Besides, unless you zoom in to something ridiculous, they will indistinguishable.I know cdn/cdn2/uploads won't work with vector formats, but can't they just put it on the server thats been recently turning svg files into question marks?

Besides, unless you zoom in to something ridiculous, they will indistinguishable.Maybe if your display is a 50 inch flatscreen tv with scratch zoomed out to 50% it would be indistinguishable but it looks fine for me

Plus what do you have against SVGs? You also no-supported that suggestion I had to update the forum emojis to SVGs

Although I never use that emoji, I am welcome to see a cleaner emoji. At least its not oversimplifying!
Also, I'm more concerned about your supporter list than the suggestion itself. A supporter list does nothing but flex how many people like your suggestion, which is not very useful.

No, I wasn't talking about the old and new emojis, I was talking about a vector version of the new emoji and a bitmap version. They both occupy the same pixels so they will be identical.Besides, unless you zoom in to something ridiculous, they will indistinguishable.Maybe if your display is a 50 inch flatscreen tv with scratch zoomed out to 50% it would be indistinguishable but it looks fine for me
