Yes, this happens with all browsers. No, I have not shared the project. No, there is nothing in there that violates Scratch's policies. Yes, I've restarted my PC and tried it on a different desktop.

Kinda bummed I spent 3 weeks on this project and I don't even have the option to download it and view it offline. If anyone has any ideas to what's going on here or a potential fix, that would be greatly appreciated.

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 89.0.4389.114, No Flash version detected

I managed to load it on my PC (using another platform) but could you share the project on Scratch (if possible; so that I can check if its a problem with Scratch)?

Also, the project is a little big with over 800 assets. It might be the reason Scratch crashes

Well my 10 year old laptop managed to load all the assets, might be an issue with your device, how much memory (RAM) do you have?

Probably the project has too much code in it.

And I'm not sure you need to post about it, since you said that the bug had been reported to the ST

I shared the project, yeah I'm worried I may have been too greedy with this project; maybe it's about time I try to learn a different coding platform.

I have a pretty powerful PC with 16gb of RAM; I highly doubt my device is the problem. I also tried loading the project in turbowrap, but alas I receive the same error message. At least the message is a bit more specific:

Error in Scratch GUI : TypeError: Cannot read property ‘assetMatchesBase’ of undefined

UPDATE:

I managed to load the project on a different PC and downloaded the sb3 file to my main computer. No problems in loading the offline project at all, meaning it has to be a problem with my computer's network connection. Makes sense because I've been getting a ton of “network errors” whenever I try to download anything; I just never suspected that would impact loading scratch projects. Probably just need to invest in a new WiFi adapter. Thanks for the responses!
