You need to make a whole new costume for that.

Just duplicate the costume and edit it in paint editor by pressing the flip button

Shouldn't need a new costume to face in a different direction - Scratch will do that for you.

Have a play with the

set rotation style [ v]

and

point in direction ( v)

blocks.

It's relatively easy to point a character left or right with the “left-right” rotation style.
