Microsoft adds some telemetry and things on top of that, so the version you install from the official site is not actually open source.

What IDE do you use?

Language: Python, Java
IDE: Vim

pycharm is not very good because it takes up 2 GB of RAM and has a bunch of unneccesary programming features

Languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, sometimes Java or Python
IDE: depends on OS, I usually use whatever is installed on it by default or, failing that, VSCode (because while it's not a great IDE itself, it does have good support for multiple languages).

Does Scratch in Scratch and/or Turbowarp count?

What IDE do you use?

Vscode for bigger projects, Python's IDLE for single file Python scripts, notepad for single file anything else.

However, I use GNU Nano for anything on my Raspberry pis or Linux vms.

Thonny for Python, whatever editor the server I'm working on has, and VSCode for everything else.

Yeah, it's not for everyone. I like it because it's so easy to use and is simple.
