Make the custom blocks a different colour when its a "no screen refresh" block.

i find that it's hard to make sure what custom blocks are “no screen refresh” and otherwise. i always get confused with comments and things like that when im making a project, so i thought: how about theres something that tells me which is which? of course i can add a comment, but i always miss click andi think its “no screen refresh” when its the opposite, therfore comments adding even MORE confusion. So can ST change the colour of a custom block with “no screen refresh”?

The AI is not designed to do these sort of things, but you could use Contact Us to propose this to the design team.

There's currently no visual distinction between the two types, so I think this could be a good idea. I do think I recall a proposal to put an icon at the start of the custom block name to show whether or not it has run without screen refresh enabled, which I think would be a better idea.

What on Earth does AI have to do with this suggestion!? They're just asking to have run without screen refresh blocks use a different color!

GAHHHH I was trying to find a sort of “duplicate” and my rushed search did not find that one ;-; but some distinction would be pretty good.

This forum is for suggestions, this wouldn't really fit in contact us.

You mean like this?
define example block {non-RWSR}

define example block {RWSR}
I can't change the color on the custom blocks so I like this color:
exampleblock
Yes, the red color.

I think there should be a slight difference, but not too much as we don't want people thinking they're totally distinct types of blocks.

That's a good idea! Sometimes in tutorials, you can't see if it is RWSR!

So kinda like the color distinction between lists and variables?

Maybe a bit less of a distinction but I think kind of similar to that, yes

Full Support,

I'm tired of having to edit the block to see if it runs without screen refresh or not, this'll make things better. No bad things about this
