Prince Arctic doesn't notice and is absorbed in his thoughts. Show different scenes as he thinks.
Who is this dragon? I'm a prince, I need to know everyone. It's my duty to have the whole nobility - all seven circles - memorised along with their ranks, so I can give them the correct greeting acording to exactly where they are in the hierarchy. It's stupid and fustrating and if Mother yells at me one more time, I will seriously enchant something to freeze her mouth shut forever.

What is she waing for? Permission to give me a message? Or is she waiting for me to say her name, and if I don't will she go scurrying to Mother? Perhaps I should create a talisman that whispers the names of every dragon that comes up to me.
Aminus dragons are so rare; appreciate your gift and respect the limits the tribe has set. Never use your power friviously. Never use it for yourself. This power is extremley dangerous. The tribe's rules are there to protect you. Only the IceWings have figured out how to use aminus magic safely. Save it all for your gifting ceremony. Use it only once in your life to make a glorious gift to benifit the whole tribe, and then never again; that is the only way to be safe.
Rules, rules and more rules: this is the IceWing way of life. Every corner I turn, every thought I have, is restricted by rules and limits and my tribe's jugemental faces. Especialy Mother's. These rules on Aminus magic are just one more way to keep me under Mother's claws. (pause) What is it? (pause) Annoyed face, try that! I was in the middle of something very important.

One circle on her necklace. Uh-oh. She's ranked in the first cicle, how could I have forgotten her? She lives in Mither's Ice Palace along with the other First and Second Circle Dragons. I'm sure I've memorised her, well, except the Nobles who lived in the outer three palaces… (pause) Snowflake. (pause) Uh oh.. the dragon I'm engaged to. Respectable family, good chance of another Aminus Dragon. Snowflake must be the real reason I'm being told to go and have this meeting.

Does Mother regret her own gift to the tribe? She enchanted Seven Narwal Horns that could heal Frostbreath injuries. It helps when young IceWings played too roughly or when fights broke out, but I think she thinks it would be much more useful if it could heal any injuries. She probably wants to reach back in time and fix that mistake…
Back to the hall.
What would you give the tribe? If you were an aminus dragon and had to come up with a gift for the tribe?

Created by an aminus named Penguin over fifty years ago. My brain is overstuffed. Perhaps this is why I have no plplace for the names of Dragons I barely know. Maybe I can improve the dome as my gift. An indestructable welcome for our allies. Absolutley not. You need to make something that will be remembered for generations, like Frostbite's Gift of Light.

I'm not surw how that improves the situatioon. I mea, I am a prince; if she marries me, she could hatch the next queen. What more could she want?

That's not me! I'm under strict orders not to do any damage or break any Ice Palaces or change any lives. Then again, I'm pretty sure I've never followed an order in my life, so… you know, watch your back, ice palaces.
Never followed an order in her life! How is that possible? Life is nothing but a series of orders, I must follow them or I'll get lost or drop to the bottom of the rankings or be thrown out of the tribe. Imagine disobeying an order! Any order. Where would I even start?

Because this is the Ice Kingdom. It's true though, our climate is one of our bes-guarded secrets.
Oh, he's a wise guy too! Do you have any useful skills, or maybe one of those magic bracelets that keep your guests from freezing?
That's the gift of diplomacy. It keeps our guests warm and helps them travel safley over the Great Ice Cliff. The tribe only has three bracelets - are ther more than three of you?
I'm the fourth. My mother and I are sharing her bracelet; there was some back and forth silliness to get over your cliff. I probably should have asked for it before I came outside.

Then why don't IceWings rule the entire continent? You wouldn't eben need the allaince, would you? You could destroy the SkyWings easily, couldn't you?
The tribe has strict rules.. We're only allowed to use our power once in a lifetime.

Well, I gueess I'm not much of a rule-follower anyway.
Why?
It's these old legends we have warning us of the dangers of animus magic - use it too much, you loose your soul, some mystical mumbo jumbo like that, which probably isn't even true. But once there is a law set down in the Ice Kingdom, everyone better follow it with no questions asked.(pause) I don't think I should mention the IceWing stories of aminus dragons gone mad…
No. Why did you do this - for me? Aren't you worried about your soul?

Foeslayer smiles
This is a bad idea. The very worst. Neither of our tribes would forgive us. Mother would never allow it. All the more reason. I won't let the queen crush my entire life between her claws. It's my magic, my life and my heart.
I'm going to say something really sappy.
