Filter in Unanswered posts
The reason people don't use the unanswered posts button as it is all of the posts, and most don't want to see unanswered ones on topics they do not care about.
From this, there should be a filter where you can filter topics so only that topics unanswered posts show up. You can filter more than 1 topic though!

All suggestions are unnecessary. If a suggestion is necessary then it's a bug report.
