Blue screen error
So, when I open up any project on Scratch, I get a blue, blank screen and I can't do anything but stare at it until I close the tab, go back, etc.
It seems fine on my phone, but not my mac. And my Mac was fine on Monday, but it happened yesterday when we moved house and I don't know what to do. I've tried resetting my Mac but it didn't work. Any help? Please get back to me if you can! My Google Chrome works fine and Scratch supports it and my Mac version. It's done this before and it just fixed out of the blue.My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.8.5, Chrome 49.0.2623.112, Flash 22.0 (release 0)

Q/A Q-Blue screen error
My Response: I see, the BSoD… but on scratch?
Possible Answers:
-Flash is no longer supported on chrome, delete it
-Make sure there are no updates on your MacOS
-Check the chrome task manager, maybe there is something that is causing this to happen

A bit of advice as you finished reading my post. Don't do SAND. SAND has four words.
SAND means Spam, Advertising, Necroposting, and Derailing.
Spam means posting something unrelated. Wiki Article: Spam
Advertising is when you promote your studios and projects. Wiki Article: Advertising
Necroposting is when you post on a old topic. It distracts other helpers! Wiki Article: Necroposting
Derailing is when you post something that leads others away from the topic. It is called thread hijacking. Wiki Article: Derailing
(Derailing idea comes from @Dude) (SAND is made by Nezon)

your chrome release is very outdated, the latest stable is 89!
you should try getting a new mac or a computer, since mountain lion was released waaaaaaaaaaay back in 2012. i'm sure you are stuck in that version, if not, try updating to the latest version your mac supports.
YES I saw that scratch supports your version, but the browser age is very large, so that may cause the problem

it's chrome 49, meaning it allows flash by default so the user agent can get the flash version and paste it -Flash is no longer supported on chrome, delete it

Yes, Socialix, I'm stuck in Mountain Lion version, which Scratch was ok with until 3 days ago. I have a feeling it's something that happened when we moved house. Plus I'm not allowed to buy a new mac nor can I download the latest (because errors, and I fear if done successfully, all my data will be wiped (yes im coward))

I do have a USB stick, Jackson, so I guess I could put my files in there. I’ll just need to see how I can get past this error with upgrading my Mac….

this is a bug that happens only on unsupported browsers: my galaxy tab 2 10.1 has the same problem.
this is because you are using a really old version of google chrome, the oldest chrome version supported by scratch is chrome 56, you are using chrome 49 and a operating system from 2009! i said 2009!
