It's not my fault you backed an argument that you can't win.
Your point of ‘states can be countries’ though is bad as states are not countries. Also, you misinterpreted a Arguement before making it different. I’m tired of people slagging off the UK as the US thinks they are SO MUCH BETTER!
I suppose Israel and Kuwait aren't countries then because they call themselves states. Have I not debunked this a million times already?

People have made jokes here about British and I can link some of you want.
So has everyone's country, including the United States?

Froggygames123 wrote:

Ok, it was nice whilst it lasted, but yeah, this is going a bit too far, and we should close the topic
Nope, no way I’m closing this topic. It is a prize possession of mine and that is why I wanted it in my banner to promote it.
Well, then perhaps an ST member can close it for you.
If you link people making fun of the US and other countries, I will take that back.

I will riot and protest if this gets closed by the ST as that shows they don’t like the UK people on scratch.

But the US states aren’t countries.

I think just to please the UK people, this should be added

We don't disrespect the UK, we don't see this as necessary because there is something called an About Me section. Should we make all 50 states available in the location section? Some states are as big as the kingdoms in the U.K or even the whole size of the U.K (Alaska)

It's just a little thing under your pfp that almost no one looks at.

So…hello, ou bonjour, o hola, o ciao, oder hallo.

Please, I beg you, explain how Scotland is a country and California isn't without saying something obvious like “Scotland calls itself a country”. They are both subnational divisions that have some self-autonomy in making legislature and enforcing it.

Oh, and here are your American jokes: https://www.google.com/search?q=jokes+about+the+us Enjoy all 368,000,000 results.

I’m on mobile at the moment, but I will write a report later saying how Scotland is a country and California isn’t.

We shouldn’t have to put it in our about me, and people want to be realised as the seperate Nations via statistics. The fact we have to do this and no one else once again highlights how US disrespects the UK.

I just search up UK jokes and there is more results so your argument is invalid.

Also, link me a American joke someone said on the forums

“UK jokes” on Google gives 274,000,000 results. “US jokes” gives 361,000,000 results. You do the math.

Hello folks! I did raise this suggestion with our localization group - they handle how Scratch should be “localized” for specific regions. They rejected it on the basis that they go by an international standard that determines these kinds of things - and we were going to continue to adhere to the standard.
