Charismatic Characters Forum - Ride 2 - Whack-A-World

Since we've already finished the first ride, I guess I can create a new forum thread for round 2

Landscape 1: Unknown
Landscape 2: Unknown
Landscape 3: Unknown
Landscape 4: Unknown

Do we want to do this in mini-groups of 2, where we'd have 8 people active, and an inactive person can switch out once-a-while? Or, do we want to do it individually, where 4 people will write the descriptions, maybe 5 people edit, or something? OR, do we want to do it as a group, where the WHOLE team writes it?

Maybe we should each take a partner and write a landscape with them as there is about 8 people?

If people don't appreciate you for who you are, then that is their opinion. Don't be someone you're not.
Also I need some artists!

Yeah… but that would leave one person. Although, someone is inactive, so we'd have 8 teammates. I think we could do it… I can randomly choose teams

Here are the teams (hope you don't mind that I did it):
magicelsa19 and Skybelle
Wordsaremagic and IceDragonArts
-StarLiight- and Wordsaretaken
Wolfpuppy64 and Foxcreations

I hope everyone gets on well! You could chat with your teammate through their profile, through a studio or any way! GL everyone, I chose the teams randomly! Choose your setting with your teammate, try not to take one that says ‘taken’.
-Ocean- T
-Sky
-Cave
-Forest
-City
-Desert
-Mountain
-Grasslands
Just say which one your pair is going to do and I will put a next to it.

I can't wait to start! Top tip: If your pair isn't on by next Monday, try starting without them… not to be mean!

Great! I also suggest starting Saturday, as we want to have a head start. I think I'm going to create a separate discussion thread with my partner so posts with descriptions can be more organized. Oh, and since we already have ocean, we shouldn't have anyone do desert, since that'll be slightly more trouble to incorporate into the plot. I think I might go for city? I have to talk with my partner.

My partner seems to be inactive here, or hasn't been replying to my comment. I'll take sky, and she can help me when she gets over writer's block.

City:

The royal palace stretches hundreds of feet up into the air, and its crystalline edges glints in the light of the planets. The streets bustle with people most days of the week, some working their trade in the markets and some trading for their work. Most of the people are dressed simply, clothed with only the simplest of garments. Below the towers of the palace are these markets and miniature towers—some twirled in excessive beauty and some that appear to be deliberately bent out of shape. One tower is particularly eye-catching; its curved walls are wrapped in a chrysalis-like, gossamer filament, almost reminding visitors of an insect. It shimmers like fairy wings and seems to shout “Here I am!” among the other, less conspicuous buildings. One is sure to find wonders within its walls, and many do. It's a wonder in itself that no one has spoken yet of them.

The wispy clouds dart around, weaving between the wintery peaks of the tallest mountains. Both similar to and unlike earth, the ground constantly changes, only a thousand times faster, and certainly more graceful. The sun casts a shadow over the puffy, white, wet puffs, causing a breathtaking assortment of glittering, ivory shades. A small bit of morning mist covers the sky, having its own miniature dance with its mother clouds. As the sunlight passes through, a rainbow of colors plays in the sky. Birds called, handsome eagles and sly ravens, crying out and breaking the silence. The sky seems to hold a magic of its own, and you would swear you heard harps playing as a magnificent, golden sky city flew slowly into view…

IDK if anyone else chose this, but I've finished writing something that could be classified as a ‘sky’. Sorry, haven't been as active :P

Cave —

Despite the darkness beginning to descend on the forest around him, the lone adventurer managed to spot the gaping mouth of a cave not too far away. He sighed in relief. A cave would be the perfect place to set up camp for the night. He hurried over, dried leaves crunching over his worn hiking boots. When he arrived at the entrance he took out his flashlight, turned it on, and poked his head in. It seemed safe enough, so he walked in, putting the flashlight to the walls, curiosity getting the best of him. When the light hit the walls, he could see different cave formations, making him take a step back. The rock was a rough slate-gray color, speckled with tiny bits of different stones and minerals that shone when the light hit them. When he pointed his light up at the ceiling, he could see short stalactites hanging from the ceiling. A few glistening drops of water dripped from the tips of the stalactites, quietly splashing onto the ground. He lowered the light and saw that the cave continued onward from where he stood. He slowly walked forward, one step at a time, pointing his flashlight in front of him. He could see a bunch of different passages, probably leading to unknown beauties, waiting to be discovered. He chose the one to the far right, his eyes wide in anticipation. The first thing that stood out to him was a column made up of stalagmites and stalactites. He stared at it in awe, unable to take his eyes off of it. There was a quiet flapping of leathery wings from somewhere above him. He looked up just as a dark brown bat descended from the ceiling of the cave. Dozens of other bats were perched on the ceiling, sleeping peacefully. As he slowly turned his gaze away from the bats, he could see more rock columns around the cavern. He walked over to another passage, and pondered whether or not he should turn back. Looking back at all the rock columns behind him, he decided it couldn't hurt to explore one more passage. So once more he flashed the light in front of him, taking one step at a time, he explored the next passage. He could see more stalactites hanging from the ceiling of the cave, and a couple more bats hung from them, most likely asleep. There were a few small jewels embedded in the cave walls, glittering when the light hit them. They were mostly shades of white and light blue, with an occasional splash of brighter color like green or purple. He turned and saw a rather large dip in the ground that resembled a shallow crater. One side was a bit more elevated than the other. It looked perfect for setting down some bedding and sleeping the rest of the night away. He got out a sleeping bag from his pack and laid down, ready to sleep. Closing his eyes, he tried to block out the noises of the night. And with that, he fell fast asleep, dreaming of all the unexplored wonders of a cave.
