Could I make an account which follows 10k people solely for Scratch Wiki documentation purposes?
I want to get a screenshot of the message that appears when you have followed over 10k people, however I don't want to do this on my main. Plus, Twin won't respond to my comments asking for a screenshot.
So, could I create an account that mass follows people for a screenshot, or would that be manipulating statistics?

Sounds like a spam account. We usually block accounts if their only purpose is to follow others. I would not recommend it.

I would say this is spam and not allowed. From what you know try to recreate it using inspect.

Using Inspect element might not be accurate.

Not when the follows aren't actually legitimate…

This may be a bit unrelated to the original question for this topic, but I wonder how the user with the most accounts followed managed to follow 12,024 people. Not as in how did they manage to follow all those people but how they passed the 10k limit.
The people at #3-5 on the list all follow exactly 10,000 accounts, which seem to prove that there is in fact some sort of restriction or limit in place.
Edit: Yes, I'm aware that when you view most of the top five accounts' actual profile pages there is a discrepancy, probably due to accounts being deleted and such.

They followed all those people before the limit was put in place, which explains the statistics.there are a ton of users who have followed 10k people, you can find them here https://scratchstats.com/topscratchers/followingThanks for showing us that link!

I believe you can ask @-NeverGonnaGiveYouUp They haven't followed 10k people yet and most likely doesn't respond to comments. I would say its more of a do at your own risk, maybe immediately delete the account once you get the screenshot of the alert, if nobody is willing to send you a screenshot of the alert.

Not trying to advertise but, you could ask this user named @-superwooper- to send a screenshot (his following count is dropping below 10,000 for some reason so he had to follow more people)2 actuallyI believe you can ask @-NeverGonnaGiveYouUp They haven't followed 10k people yet and most likely doesn't respond to comments. Yes. Why would it be against the TOS??According to this post, also:
Repeatedly posting the same material, or “spamming”;This would technically be spamming with follows.

I'm not sure…
I guess it may be OK if the people you are following are OK with you following them for this reason, but like @Za-Chary said it could be considered a spam account by others.
