“quote”
It's basically like:

As you can assume it's pretty annoying because the OP is pretty long.

isn't it funny that they say ranks could divide the community yet many are stuck with the annoying new scratcher rank???
i mean at least make it so that new scratcher's are shown in the public as normal scratchers or let them be able to use cloud.
It's not like anyone trolls or bullies with cloud right?

False. The New Scratcher rank is very important to prevent spam. It's not “unfair”, as New Scratchers have the full ability to become Scratchers. Also, spamming with cloud is quite bad because it takes up tons over tons of server space.

EDIT: Isn't it even more ironic that “Removing New Scratcher Status” is also on this rejected list?

“3. Disabling “See inside”, restricting sharing, etc.
Several people want to be able to lock their projects so that they are read-only, and other people can't see the code to copy their scripts, sounds, or artwork. However, the motto of Scratch is ”Imagine - Program - Share“. By putting a project on the site, you give anyone who sees it the right to see your code, all data in it, and potentially copy it. Part of the whole goal of Scratch is remixing. If you do not wish to allow this, then you are welcome to publish the project on your own site (once the downloadable Scratch 2.0 comes out).”

Downloadable Scratch 2.0 exists now. It's called Offline Scratch.

Firstly, please quote rather than using copy and paste. It's just easier to read.

Also, the offline editor doesn't allow somebody to publish this on their own site. They meant being able to download the Scratch sb2 file to use on a different website, as embedding isn't very effective.

I believe anyway.

The New Scratcher rank was to prevent spam, therefore there doesn't need to be anything above Scratcher.
And the reason New Scratchers have so many restrictions is because of the fact that some of them could definitely mess something up.

I'm suggesting to add the suggestion “disliking projects” to the list of suggestions, since it has a similar reason for the suggestion, “rating projects”.

Allowing free chats with cloud variables
Allowing “free” chatrooms (i.e. where users can type in whatever they want) - for now, they are not allowed because of the potential for bullying, and there is no good way to moderate them. If you want to make a chat program, you may make a “safe” chat, where users can only select from a few messages.
if you don't allow certain words instead of allowing certain words, then yes, they are allowed.

No, blacklists aren't allowed because they're too easy to bypass

Actually, I think the reason they're not allowed is because bad words would have to be included inside the project.

That's also true, but users can encrypt their blacklist (like how griffpatch encrypts their blacklist of users for Scratcharia)

But it's extremely hard to make it impossible to decrypt.

In the Warning sprite of Scratcharia, you can look at the Encode custom block.

Essentially I think it takes advantage of the _ mod _ block's lack of inverse operation (as in it's hard to find a in a%b=c if you only have b and c)

Still, not all users will know how to do that, and they might not realize if their different method is possible to decrypt.

It's a combination of both. Though the main reason is because they are easily bypassed.

I just wanted to know, is blocking other Scratchers a rejected suggestion? I don't mean blocking and then they aren't allowed to be on Scratch. I mean blocking in the way that they can't talk to you but can talk to other people. Pretty much the exact same thing as the blocking in Animal Jam.

Yes:
Ignore List (Blocking Users)
It just buries the problem. If you have a problem, report the user.
This topic has the full list of what's rejected.
