[right] bbcode! / Format dropdown!

So you know how theres the center bbcode?
Well this would just me moving text to the right
side of the page, kind like in a docs website.

Like this:
[right]Example[/right]

I really want to know, would this make the forums better?
I'm really hoping this isn't a dupe please contact me if it is!

Heres what some people are saying:

Maybe it could be a dropdown, sort of like the small and big one. Then, it could contain [center] as well.

[align=right] right [/align]
[align=left] left [/align]
[align=center] center [/align]
The normal [center] tag should stay, though. Just “right” could cause a bit of initial confusion. And if you ask me, it would only make sense to have left along with the other two, especially if there's going to be a new drop-down.

Support! This will help much in shop\collab first post designing.

Yes I want that too, especially for Stickies or Show and Tell advertisements.

There's no reason to implement the [left] tag. Why? The text is already alligned left without it.

I support, because the [right] tag could be used for aligning text to the right. It may be useful in some cases.

Why [left]? It is already left.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I support the right tag, it would help making text look more fancy,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ what can be useful in Show and Tell and Requests.

This was really hard making, and doesn't even properly work in quotes.

Yea, I like that idea.

[Right] tags should only come upon the arrival of 3.0 forums. No sense in updating the 2.0 ones.
But no support, because fancy isn't everything, and BBCode should be and is a lightweight markup language: this isn't HTML/CSS.

I like this idea! Where is right aligned text used though?

Ok!

I was thinking if you wanted to format it on the right side. Not on the left.

They can develop their own BBCode tags though, as evidenced by the [scratchblocks] tags.

*sigh* another one of my ideas is taken
This is how I was picturing it:
[align=right] right [/align]
[align=left] left [/align]
[align=center] center [/align]
The normal [center] tag should stay, though. Just “right” could cause a bit of initial confusion. And if you ask me, it would only make sense to have left along with the other two, especially if there's going to be a new drop-down.

I actually really liked how that looks.
And same, but I removed it because people said there was no need for it.
oof sorry!

When will it ever occur to you that the devs care so little about the forums that they will possibly never be updated to 3.0?

Sadly that is probably true.
