I am not a fan of the things in Scratch 2.0

Well when I heard about scratch 2.0 I was exited. Then I heard that is was only online and I lost almost all interest since my internet i slow. There were some cool new feature that I heard about so I had some hope. Now I started making a project. Then I noticed all the things I had offline (eported sprites) were gone. I left that behind and started making a new sprite. Then I saw the new paint editor and I started to scream. It did what most paint software companies did. Make it complicated. Then I gave up all hope on Scratch 2.0 and now I am still going to upload projects using scratch 1.4 If I couldn't upload projects using 1.4 on to the scratch 2.0 website I would quit scratch altogether (I spend several hours on scratch a day) . I actually have more complaints but That would fill up a few hundred pages.
4DT productions sighing off (unhappily).

We're coming out with a downloadable version of 2.0 in the summer

I'm not sure I understand - why not just import your offline sprite?

The bitmap editor is still pretty much there and contains the same functions that 1.4 has - we just moved some things around a bit. Why not take a look at this tutorial first? Part 1 goes over the bsaics of the interface, and you'll find that a lof of the functions are still the same.

Alternatively, you could always edit your costume in an external editor like GIMP, MS Paint, Illustrator, Inkscape, etc. and then import it into Scratch. A lot of Scratchers still do that nowadays.

We get a lot of complaints about 2.0, but a lot of them are not very helpful. What would be helpful to us is if Scratchers mentioned what they find difficult or buggy in 2.0 so we can make it better in the future. If you have any suggestions about 2.0, it isn't too late to post in the Suggestions forum.
