Don't remove automatic remix credit when the original is unshared

When you remix a project, a link to the original project is added automatically. When the original project is unshared, it's removed. If the user who remixed the project didn't mention that in the Notes and Credits (and many people don't because the automatic credit is sufficient), others wouldn't know that it's a remix, which can be a problem:
  • If a project has multiple remixes, they could be reported as copies of older remixes.
  • If the original project is inappropriate, the remixes would be reported and the people who made them could get in trouble.
  • If the original project was a copy of another project, the remixes might be reported as copies.

This could be solved by not removing the automatic credit. Links that don't work would be confusing, so it could look like this:

Actually I believe they should keep the link. I'm gonna get in trouble for saying this probably but sometimes I like to view unshared projects through TurboWarp

Maybe the link should be there but with the “(unshared)”?

I like this idea, as the automatic remix button provides credit that may or may not be already given.

Since some users rely on the automatic remix credit as their credit, if the project were to be unshared, no credit would be given in notes and credits.

When I was exposing a user for lying and stealing projects, this would have been extremely useful to have because instead I had to track down more things, including the activity. This would be a one way, simple to use way of exposing copied projects, and I would gladly welcome this.

Yeah, that's my thought.

The link could be in orange text instead, maybe?

I'm thinking red. Wikipedia pages turn links red when it's an invalid link..

I once accused some people of stealing a project, when the original project was removed. This would prevent that.

I was thinking orange because of the color of the share button.

I like red also I didn't need to look at your ocular profile, I have an extension that puts it next to all your posts

I suppose this minor detail is irrelevant for the most part, but I'm sticking with red. Red is sort of a “warning” color, whereas orange doesn't really remind people of anything (for me, the “share” reference is a bit of a stretch). But I'm fine either way.

I made some projects that I don't like, and I mean very strongly don't like now, and there are still remixes of them out there (which I have to individually track down and ask the creator to remove them). I don't really want people accessing the projects through turbowarp, although I could see this being good in some cases.

That's true, but at least now they'll be taken care of for the right reasons. But the reason before the start of the list, others thinking they made the project when it was actually a remix, and also remixes of something inappropriate, don't have to be exact copies to apply here.

Anyway, support! As mentioned before, this would help expose the truth! I don't think there's any reason not to support. Great mockup too

I think most of the moderators would be opposed to such an addition due to Turbowarp's Moderation Issues™. Plus, using an unofficial tool to do something official just seems wrong.
