"Shared On..."

“I've made a huge mistake”

The words I uttered when I realised what I did earlier. I somehow accidentally “unshared” a project I had originally uploaded years ago. I immediately “shared” the project to hopefully undo whatever just happened. It's public again now which is fine BUT there are some big problems. The original upload date has been overwritten completely. So now it says “shared on 9 May 2013” when in actual fact it was originally shared YEARS ago. Plus there is a whole announcement that may make people assume I have created a new project, which I have not. The thumbnail is now not what I want it to be and to top it all off I have no idea what the original upload date was to put in the project description.

Such a simple mistake to make but the consequences are definitely there.
Is there no hope of recovery here? For the “share” date to be rectified or anything?

You could take this as a warning, fellow Scratchers haha.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum section.

EDIT: I figured out the date by looking at the comments. Crisis averted.

It did what it was supposed to do. Unfortunately not what you wanted it to do. In the notes you could put a notice that reminds people that the project was not created recently. I would put it at the top. The messed up thumbnail stuff could be posted under the Bugs and Glitches section.

It was indeed my fault in the end but you must understand it's annoying to have the original upload date wiped completely with one accidental click. Ah, well. As for the thumbnail, it is not exactly a glitch, just a lack of a feature. The thumbnail will always be the project screen at the time of sharing. I will not be sharing my project a 3rd time. Thanks, though.
