I heard that apple did not allow the scratch editor on the iPad. But you can still use the online editor with the app Photon. It is paid, but it's fast. With a keyboard case, it's like a computer.

Once Phosphorous gets an editor, or sb2.js is forked (or similar created e.g. phosphorous) and completed, or the HTML5 editor comes out, there won't be a need for paid apps. ;3
